I wanted to take a few minutes and write you a letter to say “thank you.”
First, your professionalism and ability to adapt to multiple changes in the times and dates of my move due to changing closing dates were outstanding. You were able to make each request a smooth transition.
Second, the staff that handled the move were prompt, neatly dressed, ready and prepared to work, had a “can do” attitude and went the extra mile all the way around. They handled my belongings as they were their own and were attentive to detail in packing and wrapping all the furniture. They were quick and efficient and all worked well together.
Lastly, due to no fault of your own, my moving time ran over four hours. The folks I purchased my home from chose a moving company who was ill prepared, lacked courteous staff and they gave a false time of completion both to myself and their client, which cause a delay in getting my belongings unloaded from the Heritage truck. When I called you the next day and in our course of conversation, you offered to reduce my moving fees by two hours which was an overly generous gesture. I advised this was not necessary as it was no fault of Heritage and that I was simply calling to say thanks and give kudos to your moving staff. I did however call Crowning Touch and spoke to the owner about how their delay getting the previous owners items loaded cost me approximately four-hundred dollars in extra fees and simply received a “It’s not our issue type of response.” A few days later I received your letter with a reimbursement check and you stated “you hated to see something bad happen to good people and you felt it was the right thing to do”. This kind gesture was well noted and I thank you!
Thank you for a job well-done and the outstanding customer service. You all really went the extra mile.
I just wanted to thank you for your help for my daughter’s move. It went very smoothly and your men took care to make sure her belongings, even though it is not high end furniture, were safely and carefully moved. One of them even took a moment to close the shades in the bedroom of her new apartment mentioning to her that he noticed it overlooks a parking garage and people could look in. Nice, nice man and so considerate! We appreciate your professionalism.

My wife and I wanted to personally thank you for the outstanding job your employees did in moving our daughter from Roanoke to Abingdon, VA on December 19, 2013. During the economic crisis we have been experiencing there has been several local and state to state moves necessary to keep a job or obtain better living conditions in our family. I am satisfied that considering all of the moves none have reached the quality of the move your company just did for us. These are two of the most professional moving employees I have ever seen and we were moved by contractors before retirement by a State and also the Federal government.
Well, this is a good news/bad news review. They had trouble at another job – a guy called out sick and the truck was nowhere near the location, so that had a long carry for every item. As a result, two guys (not 3) showed up at 5:15 (not 2:00). I have to admit they worked diligently and took GREAT care with our belongings. They got the first load done in record time and followed me to Blue Ridge and got EVERYTHING into the storage units. I didn’t think it could be done. They followed be back to my townhouse and moved like a whirlwind to get everything loaded, padded and secured in the truck. They were careful, courteous, friendly and enormously helpful. They took apart the bed from and the mirror/dresser and moved everything with the drawers in it (albeit, empty drawers!). I was impressed…
Several months ago, we asked Heritage to come and move an heirloom spinet piano from the townhouse to the climate-controlled storage at Blue Ridge. That experience caused me to contact Heritage again for this move and if we come back to the area, we will use Heritage again. This is one extremely satisfied customer – more than that, a DELIGHTED customer. The late arrival meant I was still cleaning to leave and loading last-minute items until 1 a.m. but stuff happens and I understand the late start.

We recently contracted with Heritage Moving & Storage to move my mother-in-law’s furniture from her former 4th floor apartment in Norton, VA to two seperate locations in Roanoke. Ms. Redman is 90 years old and we had to move her and her furniture in very short notice.

I had a very important client that needed extreme TLC. They had an offer on their house in Roanoke and had to close within a week. Mike and the crew at Heritage Moving not only had them out fast but also handled their move stress free. When I called and asked how everything went, they were extremely pleased.
A note to get you know that your crew, led by Jason, did an exemplary move for us. From the moment they arrived, until everything was unloaded they treated our furniture and other belongings as if they were as important to them as to us. They were highly professional, personable, and worked together like a well oiled machine.
Jim and I have moved 4 times in 11 years and this was by far the best move we have had. I personally have moved over 24 times in the past 35 years and for 90% of those moves my bosses’ right hand man did the moves without every a hitch(but I had very little to move) and we were close friends – so of course these moves were without equal.
Jim was just as impressed as he watched them carefully unload. We have had no breakage of anything. I personally enjoyed the time I got to spend in conversation with them – a fine group of men. We both agree that should another move ever be necessary for us, we will call you first for a quote even if we’re going from NC to a state other than Virginia.
I will be contacting the Roanoke Better Business Bureau to share my experience with them; and my neighbor Lottie has already asked for your name and number just in case she hears of someone in her group of friends looking to move.

Please forgive my delay in sending this note. Needless to say, I have been
quite busy over these past several weeks! The good news is that every day I
make progress in unpacking boxes…….
I just had to commend you and your team for the excellent job in my move to
Mississippi. I appreciated the professionalism and caring both of you showed me
in visits, phone calls and emails. No question was “stupid” and you never made
my feel that I was a “bother”……
And there are not enough exclamation points to brag on the moving team! Sean,
Tony, Will and Tank came to my door on February 1st…..introduced themselves,
gave me a firm handshake and walked throughout the house with me. It was
amazing to watch them work………no idle hands with this crew! They were
personable, professional and caring. I never would have believed it, but they
had me loaded in only 4 hours. I had several friends visiting that day
(including the new owner of my house)…..and each of them said the same thing
about these guys……..they were wonderful!
And I wish there were something more than exclamation points I could use to talk
about Will and Tank!!!! Oh, my……..they were more than amazing!!! They kept
in touch with me throughout the trip….and when I rounded the corner to my new
house (after the closing) they were there waiting……and ready to work. Those
guys are machines……they had me unpacked and set up in a little over 4 hours.
I couldn’t believe it. That was their goal…..and they more than accomplished
it! Again, they were professional, caring and had the most wonderful positive
attitudes. It didn’t really matter if I had them move the furniture to another
place, they were more than willing to do whatever I needed them to do. I
appreciated their strong work ethic, but even more importantly, I aprpeciated
their wonderful personalities and positive attitudes. I don’t know if you have
any sort of recognition program (hopefully you do!), but I would love for you
to recognize Will and Tank for the fantastic job they did. At this house I also
had friends who came to visit when they were unloading. They too were amazed
at how wonderful they were. I know I thanked them…..but please thank them
again for me. Overall, the whole experience was wonderful!
Again it was a pleasure to work with you.. I prayed to find the right moving
company……and God certainly answered my prayer
by providing me with a Christian based company. I know that is the reason
everything worked so well…….He is good!!
