At Heritage Moving & Storage, Inc., we use a number system for our office moves. Whether you are packing yourself or hiring us to do the packing, we provide labels for every piece of furniture and every box.
Each area in your business has a number that corresponds with an area in your new location. We start with the reception area as number 1. Then we move into offices: office 2, 3, 4, etc. The file room gets a number. The conference room gets a number. The kitchen gets a number, and so on.
When we get to your new location, each area is labeled with a number as well as a diagram showing how you would like the furniture placed in that area. Then all boxes and furniture will be placed in the corresponding areas and arranged according to the diagrams. We will review your new location’s layout by phone before the move. (For larger office moves, we’ll meet in person to review plans and diagrams.)
Depending on the situation, at the end of the move or on the following day, we generally have a crew member go back through your new location and correct any pieces or boxes that were placed incorrectly. We want you to be completely satisfied with our placement of your company’s belongings. This will save your business “down time” during the move and help you to be up and running quickly.
