During the phone call, we’ll ask a series of questions to find out if we can price your move over the phone. If you have four rooms of furniture or fewer, we generally can provide an accurate price over the phone. (This amount of rooms is typical of one- or two-bedroom apartments or in divorce situations where only a few rooms of furniture are being moved out of the home.)
If your local move will include more than four rooms of furniture, we’ll schedule a time to do a walk-through in your home. The walk-through lasts about 30 minutes. It allows us to get a visual of the contents of the home and evaluate the logistics of moving out of the house. We pay special attention to the size and number of areas, indoors and outdoors. (Many people forget to include outdoor patio areas, sheds, garages, and basement storage when estimating their number of rooms.)
The walk-through helps us determine the number of movers and trucks needed for your move. From there we can determine an accurate price.
