Pitfall 4: Failure to plan your day around your moving company.
Chances are your moving company is not the only company you’re dealing with on moving day. There is a lot going on during a move. Usually there is a house closing taking place—maybe even two closings. There may be last-minute errands to run or jobs being done at the new location.
Customers who don’t plan around their moving company often find themselves in a situation where they are forced to leave during the move. This is not ideal, as we rely on our customers to have someone present to answer questions that come up as we are handling your belongings. Often this causes delays in the move.
If moving day is packed full of appointments, have a family member step in to be present during the move. Plan your moving day well, and avoid this common moving pitfall.
